Hokukano Highlands

The Highlands is located on the western coastal side of the Big Island of Hawaii (Hawaii County), State of Hawaii, just above the town of Kealakekua, approximately 9 miles immediately south of the resort town of Kona (also called Kailua-Kona), Hawaii.  The Highlands is situated 18 miles south of the Kona International Airport.  The Kona Coast is one of the premier coasts and vacation destinations in the world.  It is home or 2nd home to many well-known celebrities and business leaders, and the Kona International Airport is routinely ranked among the world’s busiest terminals for private and corporate jets.

Hokukano Highlands Area

The Hokukano Highlands area is a collection of entitled, fee simple, ranch properties totaling roughly 6,400 acres. The Highlands currently has eight lots, with the entire area zoned Ag-20. To keep the wide-open feeling of ranch living, the area will be limited to only 22 ranch parcels.

Plans are being finalized to preserve a many thousand acre hunting and recreational area near at the upper elevations of the Highlands. Access is via paved and graded gravel roadway from County Hwy 11 through the planned development area of the Hokukano Preserve.

This historic ranch expanse was previously part of the W.H. Greenwell Ranch and was use primarily as livestock rangeland and timber operations.

There are currently eight parcels in the included in the Hokukano Highlands area:

2. Parcel 11 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:008) which is 400.750 acres.

 

3. Parcel 13 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:010) which is 1022.111 acres.

 

4. Parcel 14 (TMK: 3-7-1-001:011) which is 844.012 acres.

 

5. Parcel 15 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:012) which is 979.702 acres.

 

6. Parcel 16 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:013) which is 944.702 acres.

 

7. Parcel 17 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:014) which is 1098.850 acres.

 

8. Parcel 18 (TMK: 3-7-9-001:015) which is 636.766 acres.
